The conversion consists of a kitchen/dining room, bathroom which includes a bath and walk in shower and a lounge with Patio doors that open onto a small courtyard overlooking the beck and open fields. There is full gas central heating with a wood burner in the lounge for cosy nights during the winter months.
Rattys Retreat is an ideal base for travelling to the coast or walking and cycling in the Wolds.
Skegness is just 7 miles away, bus number 6 operates from Candlesby Cross Roads every hour. In addition there is a pub in the village which serves meals 5 days a week. Skegness not only has the beach but two golf courses, swimming pool and a number of fairground attractions. A new aquarium is due to open in 2015/16 .
Gunby Hall, a National Trust property is a mile away where you can visit the house or browse the gardens. Special event days are planned throughout the year and during the summer months there is an open air play in the garden.
The cathedral city of Lincoln is only 35 miles away where there are plenty of shops and Lincoln Castle is the place to see the copies of the Magna Carta. The market towns of Spilsby, Horncastle and Louth are all within 10 miles and worth a visit.
The property incorporates a 2 acre coarse fishing lake and fishing is included in the price. We have 4 private pegs which are kept for anyone stopping in the holiday cottage.
